1936 Ford Phaeton This two-owner Ford Phaeton has been in the same family ownership since 1941. That is over 70 years with one owner!! The Phaeton was restored in the 1970’s and still shows very well. The chrome is very good as well as the black lacquer paint. The interior was also restored with new brown leather matching the original. A new tan hartz cloth top and boot were installed recently complemented by new carpeting. Mechanically, the original V-8 engine is strong with excellent compression and plenty of power. They is nothing like the sound of an early V8 Ford. A total of only 5,555 were built in 1936. In fact President Franklin D. Roosevelt purchased a 1936 Phaeton equipped with hand controls so that he could drive around his Hyde Park, New York Estate. A great car for family touring !! $45,500.
