1939 Bentley 16 Cylinder Royale

1939 Bentley 16 Cylinder Royale In the words of its creator, master automobile conceptualist Gary Wales, this 1939 Bentley Royale is: “Everything in Excess, Nothing in Moderation.” Roll-Royce and Bentley built automobiles of legendary strength and toughness. More than a few R-R and Bentley chassis were repurposed with immense engines and scanty bodies. Powered by surplus aircraft Merlin V12s and similar excess, they were called Speedcars, and they were all of that, thundering examples of the concept, “When it comes to horsepower, too much is just right.” Even among those fire-breathing monsters, though, Gary Wales’ creation of the Bentley Royale Coupe deVille is an order of magnitude better. Based on Rolls-Royce and Bentley components from the Silver Ghost through the ’90, its coachwork is developed from an original Sedanca deVille body commissioned by airman and auto racer Whitney Straight, The frame is a 1938 Rolls-Royce Wraith. The Bentley Royale’s engine is a masterful construction consisting of two Rolls-Royce Phantom IV 5.75-Liter overhead valve Inline eight cylinder blocks with crankshafts geared together on a common crankcase, a design akin to Ettore Bugatti’s H-16 aircraft engine. Constructed by Gary Wales with mechanical assembly by Andres Aranda, the Bentley Royale Coupe deVille is a masterpiece. A modern Chitty-Chitty-Bang-Bang, it has all the irrational thrills of nearly unlimited power that shakes the road and everything around it, wrapped in meticulously formed, finished and trimmed coachwork. Vastly powerful but elegantly and comfortably bodied, the Bentley Royale Coupe deVille is on-of-a-kind, a statement of Rolls-Royce Speedcar heritage and the Rolls-Royce and Bentley tradition of style, comfort and luxury. Power Rack & Pinion Bentley T2 Steering 45 Different Dashboard Instruments and Switches Carl Zeiss Headlamps. 5 Speed Rolls-Royce Experimental Gearbox 4” Exhaust with cutouts and Merlin-Style Manifolds. Elaborate, Luxurious Interior Wood and Leather Appointments. Elephant-Hide Roof Covering. Front Disc Brakes.

1953 Nash Healey LeMans Coupe

1953 Nash Healey LeMans Coupe Production started in 1950 after a chance meeting of Donald Healey and Nash’s George Mason. The original car was steel, body by Panelcraft of England, chassis by Healey and engine by Nash. By 1952 the body was restyled by Pinn Farina and the chassis was special built by Healey. Nash upgraded the engine to develop 140 hp with its “LeMans Jetfire” overhead-valve inline six cylinder, dual carburetor creation. In 1953, with a longer wheelbase (108 inches), a coupe body was fashioned for the all aluminum main body. A tachometer, leather upholstery, and rear quarter windows made the Healey a true GT car rivaling Europe’s best. This Nash Healey was restored from an excellent original car and has been part of a private collection.

1947 Packard Clipper Custom Limo

1947 Packard Clipper Custom Limo 1947 Packard Clipper Custom Limo Built by Briggs Body Company on November 15 1946. This 1947 Limo is one of a kind. It was reportedly built for the Chairman of the Briggs Company and is unique. There is no glass divider so that it could be owner driven. However, it does feature closed rear quarters to give privacy to the rear seat occupants. The rear seating area is large and included to jump seats for guests. A radio is also built into the right arm rest area. As you can see, the Packard is extremely straight on every panel. New paint was applied several years ago and is show quality. The broadcloth interior and straight hair Wilton carpet is also in excellent condition needing no repairs at all. The Packard straight eight engine coupled to a manual transmission is a powerful and smooth. A factory overdrive adds to the cruising ease of the Limo. This is an unusual and beautiful Limo that could easily be used as a Wedding car or it would be welcomed at any CCCA Tour, as it is a full Classic on the Show field it is also a hit with spectators. The massive size (19 1/2 feet) and the smooth lines contribute to its beauty. $47,500.

1932 Auburn Custom 12

1932 Auburn Custom 12 1932 Auburn Twelve Custom Phaeton The 12 cylinder Auburn, although in production for only 3 years, was one of the great American cars of the era. The George Kublin designed L-head V-12 is a sensational engine. It produces 160 horsepower from 391 cubic inches. In addition, the Dual-ratio rear axle was standard on Custom models and allowed the Auburn to be driven easily at highway speeds or in the lower ratio for city driving. Young Alan Leamy designed this sleek Convertible Phaeton as well as the other Auburn models. It remains one of the most beautiful designs to come out of the ACD group. Not only is it sleek with the top up or down, the windshield folds down like many sports cars. This Auburn has received a Pebble Beach restoration and was shown in 2009. In 2014 it won First Place honors at the Des Moines Concours. The Salon trim adds elegance to the car. This nut and bolt restoration included all mechanical components. Robert Pass Wins the Triple Crown of Vintage Racing

Racing has been a passion of Robert for over 5 decades, so his most recent honor was well earned and very much appreciated.

The Sports car Vintage Racing Association (SVRA) recently bestowed upon Robert the top honor of Hall of Fame inductee.  At the recent SVRA annual awards banquet that took place at Virginia International Raceway, SVRA president Tony Parella awarded the beautiful trophy and gave great accolades to the work Robert and his fellow owners of SVRA did for the organization in the early 1990's.  The honor was a big one and will be forever cherished.  During Robert's tenure as one of the owners of SVRA, countless hours were spent working to keep SVRA alive, growing, and laying the groundwork for success.  The groundwork established then is a one reason it continues to be a success today.  Not only were the race weekends safe and well attended, they were big fun.  Stabilizing SVRA, then growing it and getting members involved paved the way for big things to come. During this time, Robert raced in just about every race group from his Alfa GTA Jr with Group 1 small bore cars to a 1969 Camaro with Group 6 big bore cars and everything in between.

Today SVRA is the premier vintage racing organization in the country with 18 events scheduled for 2015.

When you combine this honor with the SVRA Driver of the Year Honors in 1990 and Historic Sports car Racing Driver of the Year Honors in 1989, Robert is the only triple crown winner in vintage racing.  Congratulations Robert!

1959 Cadillac 62 Convertible

1959 Cadillac 62 Convertible 1959 Cadillac 62 Convertible- BARN FIND This iconic 59 Cadillac has had only two long term owners. The last owner purchased the car in 1974 and stored the car the last 24 years after 16 years of weekend use. . It has carried a Florida title for the last 40 years. Luckily, the car was the car was sold new in Tennessee and the uncercarriage was coated with mud. That saved the chassis!! It shows NO RUST anywhere. I have scoured the body and panels with a magnet and find no rust. It has a documented 84,XXX miles and the original interior is amazingly in great shape. The white leather shows some wear but to soft and can be dyed as well as the black accenting leather. The original top is also in great condition as well as the chrome. The undercarriage is excellent because it was coated with mud when stored in Tennessee by the first owner. It actually acted as undercoating and saved this great car. It is equipped with power steering, power brakes, power door locks, power windows, power top, power seat, signal seeking working radio and more!!!! When removed from storage, to make the Cadillac road worthy, a total of $13,000 was spent on the car. Invoices are available . The repairs were done by professional and include: New gas tank, fuel lines, fuel pump, radiator, water pump, timing chain, exhaust system , brakes, starter, carburetor rebuild, new battery, fresh oil and lube job, new radial whitewall tires, new hoses and belts, AIR CONDITIONING serviced and blows cold, hydraulic cylinder for the top, and more, etc. etc. etc. Yes—the power windows work fine as well as the power seat. The Cadillac can be enjoyed as an original car or this rust free car with all of its original equipment can be restored by its new owner.

1941 Cadillsc 62 Convertible Sedan

1941 Cadillsc 62 Convertible Sedan 1941 Cadillac Convertible Sedan In my opinion, the 1941 Cadillac is the ultimate tour car for CCCA Events. It has plenty of power with its 346 cid L-head V-8 engine mated to a smooth 3 speed manual transmission. The independent front suspension with coil springs, plus the rear semi-eliptic leaf springs riding on a 126 inch wheelbase, supply a smooth and stable ride. This particular Cadillac has been in my hometown (St. Louis) since new. It was owned by the Lindburg family for over 50 years. I remember seeing it in their Cadillac Showroom in the 1960’s. I purchased the Cadillac almost 8 years ago and have enjoyed it on many great outings. Notice that radio pre-set radio stations are all St. Louis stations—some still in business. The maroon paint was in fantastic condition –it was applied at Lindburg Cadillac back in the ‘60s. The tan leather is also in great condition. I replaced the black hartz cloth top in 2013 as well as adding new wide white radial tires for safe driving. Come drive it and you will agree. Trades welcome

1913 Peerless 48

This massive Peerless is powered by a 49.6 hp, 577.5 cu. In. T-head six cylinder engine. The wheelbase is a staggering 137 inches long. This particular Peerless was actually used as a power source by the La Jolla Mining Company after its usefulness as an automobile was no longer needed. It was driven to the mining operation over 90 years ago and destined to be a workhorse for the miners. In 1965, the great Peerless was discovered by a helicopter pilot and friend of a Peerless Collector. The entire story of the retrieval of the remains is described in a great story by the collector in 1966 after a huge helicopter and a team of 14 people retrieved the find. (see picutre) The story, in the HCC Gazette is fascinating to read. Dubbed “The old man of the Mountain” the first restoration was 90 percent finished 15 years later. After completion, the Peerless was shown at Pebble Beach in 1984. It was then placed on long term display in a small mining museum until 2008. It is now totally restored and ready for the Show field again.

The 3.8 engine makes it a delight to drive. The Heritage Certificate shows that all of the numbers on the engine, gearbox, etc. are original. A new XKSS stainless steel exhaust system is the only major change in the car. Although the original system was “ok”, I felt it would be a safer and practical way to make the Jaguar safer on the road. This is a must see and drive XK !!!. It needs nothing but a new enthusiast owner.

1934 Ford Cabriolet This Ford was just awarded BEST OF SHOW at the Annual HCC Easter Show held in St. Louis, Missouri this year. The restorer is a perfectionist and did a fantastic job making this Ford correct in every way. In years past, this Ford received 952 of 1000 points when shown in Dearborn to win the Dearborn Medallion. All judging sheets are with the car. Correct 1934 85ph V-8 engine with factory aluminum heads and correct 1934 Aluminum intake manifold with a Stromberg carburetor. As you can see in the pictures of this Black Cabriolet with brown leather interior by LeBaron Bonney, it is equipped with a correct T-14 top as well. A correct rubber mat graces the cockpit and the rumble seat area. Also note the correct triple pin stripe, cowl lights, and the Greyhound radiator ornament. This restoration was finished this year and is as fresh as they get!

1903 Thomas 18

1903 Thomas 18 The car belonged to Henry Janssen of Buffalo, NY for many years. He bought it from a museum in Buffalo when it closed. It was a very original and complete car when Henry bought it. He began to do some restoration on the wood of the body and re-wooded the wheels. Henry enjoyed the Thomas for the rest of his years. His estate sold the Thomas to a collector in the State of Washington where it had a complete restoration and was finished in 2005. It was shown at a few local Concours shows and driven about 300 miles in Single Cylinder Tours, including completing the Single Cylinder Touring Registry Tour in LaConner, Washington. There are 2 other existing examples of this car known The first year of production for Thomas was 1903. It powered by a single cylinder 8 hp engine with 106.3 cu.inch displacement. This rear entrance tonneau with a 3 speed progressive transmission, leather cone clutch, 28 x 3 wheels, geared water pump, and chain drive is as new. When restored, every part was fitted with new bearings , polished and balanced the crank and flywheel, rebushed portions of the transmission, rebuilt the rear end, new tires, new black leather upholstery, etc. The brass lamps were done by Rick Britten and the single self generating head light is correct for the car and the only one known to exist. The Thomas starts on the first or second pull, runs and drives very nicely and is very reliable. Eligible for the London Brighton Tour for sure !!!

Collector Cars for sale | Classic cars for sale | Robert Pass

1941 Cadillac Convertible Sedan In my opinion, the 1941 Cadillac is the ultimate tour car for CCCA Events.

The Salon trim adds elegance to the car. This nut and bolt restoration included all mechanical components. It remains a stunning show car as well as an amazing road car and is effortless to drive, shifts like butter and stops easily.

1960 Jaguar XK150 3.8 Coupe

1960 Jaguar XK150 3.8 Coupe This is truly a rust free West Coast XK that has been correctly maintained by two owners since 1960. It has traveled only 43,XXX miles and ready to tour anywhere.

1913 Peerless 48

1913 Peerless 48 This massive Peerless is powered by a 49.6 hp, 577.5 cu.

1941 Cadillsc 62 Convertible Sedan

1941 Cadillac 62 Convertible Sedan 1941 Cadillac Convertible Sedan In my opinion, the 1941 Cadillac is the ultimate tour car for CCCA Events. Priced at $87,500. Trades welcome http://robertpass.com/inventory_details.asp?offset=6&InventoryNum=1119

1947 Packard Clipper Custom Limo Built by Briggs Body Company in Detroit on November 15 1946, this 1947 Limo is one of a kind. This is an unusual and beautiful Limo that could easily be used as a Wedding car or it would be welcomed at any CCCA Tour, as it is a full Classic on the Show field it is also a hit with spectators. The massive size (21 feet) and the smooth lines contribute to its beauty. $46,500. http://robertpass.com/inventory_details.asp?InventoryNum=1128

1934 Ford V-8 Cabriolet 1934 Ford Cabriolet This Ford was just awarded BEST OF SHOW at the Annual HCC Easter Show held in St. Louis, Missouri this year. The restorer is a perfectionist and did a fantastic job making this Ford correct in every way. This restoration was finished this year and is as fresh as they get.. Enjoy the pictures. Priced at $79,500. http://robertpass.com/inventory_details.asp?InventoryNum=1124

1960 Jaguar XK150 3.8 Coupe 1960 Jaguar XK150 3.8 Coupe This is truly a rust free West Coast XK that has been correctly maintained by two owners since 1960. It has traveled only 43,XXX miles and ready to tour anywhere. Priced below market at $98,500. http://robertpass.com/inventory_details.asp?InventoryNum=1123

1967 Mercedes 230 SL

Called the "Golden Pagoda" in honor of its unusual pagoda shaped hardtop, the 230SL was introduced at the Geneva Auto Show in 1963. It truly was the re-invention of the sports car for daily use.The SL combined all of the comforts of a touring car and the performance of a sports car, It was designed with front and rear crumple zones--something new for the day. This particular 230SL has only traveled 62,000 miles under the care of only two long time owners. It is equipped with power steering and brakes a smooth 4 speed manual transmission, soft top and the infamous pagoda hardtop. A fresh repaint in the original red was done to high standards several years ago and is superb. The original blac tex interior is also excellent. The engine runs smooth and quiet and is a joy to drive. Now equipped with radial tires for safety, it is ready for any tour or daily use. Drive it and you will want it in your car barn !! 54,500.

1932 Auburn Custom 12

 1932 Auburn Custom 12

1932 Auburn Twelve Custom Phaeton The 12 cylinder Auburn, although in production for only 3 years, was one of the great American cars of the era. The Salon trim adds elegance to the car. This nut and bolt restoration included all mechanical components. It remains a stunning show car as well as an amazing road car and is effortless to drive, shifts like butter and stops easily.
