1939 Cadillac 60 Special Sedan With Rare Sunshine Roof

This 1939 Cadillac Sixty Special is a very rare and unique car. Shipped January 30, 1939 to Phoenix Arizona at a cost of $1951.83. Three major options wee offered for the Sixty Special as seen on this car: dual sidemounts ( additional $100), an all-leather interior (a pricey $300), and the Sunshine Turret-Top Roof ($85 extra).
The Sixty Special was powered by the same 346cid/135hp flathead V-8 engine used in all other ,1938 through '1940 eight-cylinder Cadillacs. Originally available in only one body style, a four-door five-passenger touring sedan. The Sixty Special had sales of 3703, outselling all other 1938 Cadillac models.
The car offered here won its Primary Classic Car Club of America award in 1997, Senior award at the 1998 Classic Car Club of America Annual Meeting and then followed up with its Premier award in 1999. The car has since been pampered and well cared for. Now ready for its new owner for much more pleasure and enjoyment.
